It was nothing special, but it was mine. I had a 94 corvette lt1 with a 6 speed. I once made it to harrison arkansas from bentonville in a about an hour. That is only 80 or so miles, but aint none of it straight.

Is that a V-6 or a GT either way I know it will go faster than 90 KPH whatever that is. I have gone 50 MPH on my bike down hill. LOL

Welcome to the site, we will pull your leg some if you give us the chance.
Allen's wife does drive fast, beats him in his T-Bucket all the time.

Thanks matt, that's one thing I refused to do is learn metric, we would change every thing over on the prints in the machine shop. I guess it's a press 1 for English and 2 for whatever thing. I just don't buy it.

55 MPH, most of our back roads, have a faster limit than that.

Bob

Before I retired and sold the business, I used to transport classic, sports, muscle, and some race cars. That said, I'd guess the fastest would have been a V8 Radical track car. The most over rated car would be any Ferrari, no off idle power, only moves good when you scream the engine. Ford GTs with the positive displacement blower are my favorite, Porsche 911 type turbos are fastest off the line to 30 mph. A good and affordable but nose heavy street cruiser would be the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 current edition. I have driven close to 5000 of these type of cars, so I'm a bit jaded, but I can tell you the best bang for the buck is a 10 year old Z06 Corvette. You are able to find plenty with less than 40,000 miles, you will spend less than $15,000.00, have a great car the corners very well, and when on the highway cruising at 70 mph, will return over 30 mpg.

UNQUESTIONABLY, my 1962 Pontiac 421 SD, four speed car. Any takers...lol.
Also the fastest 0-60 ever tested by Hot Rod magazine was the 1963 SD.

I've driven many faster modified vehicles but the most impressive "factory" car was this one. In my last year of high school my buddy showed up at my door driving his VW Bug and said that he had arranged a "test drive" of a new car at the local Chrysler dealership where the father of a friend of his was the sales manager. When we got there I found out that the car we were going to test was a 1969 Road Runner 440 6 Pack 4 speed with all the performance options and not much else. We drove it responsibly until we reached a country road. That thing was brutal! We ran out of revs before the tires ever hooked up in first gear, shifted to second and just kept smokin' them, 3rd gear and the tires were still spinning. Finally near the top of 3rd gear the tires finally caught up with the car, red-lined the tack again hit 4th kept into it for a few seconds and rolled out of the throttle. Don't know how fast we were going, the speedo was buried, it only went to 120mph. One turn apiece at this nonsense and we took it back to the dealership before we broke something or wore out the tires. Funny thing was a few years later another friend of mine in a different city bought almost the same car, only a '68 with the factory lift-off fiberglass hood, he traded his '64 Vette in on it because the Mopar was faster.
