I moved a 2002ish Roush 360R Mustang off of a dyno. I don't know if I can really consider that driving. The owner pushed the rear wheels up to 200MPH before the dyno shut down. That was pretty cool.

I have been trying to think of the fastest car I have drove in stock form. It has taken me awhile but it has to be the Buick Grand National at a shop I worked at. I got the test drive responsibilities that day. I never got down on it and blasted down any streets. Just drove it like a regular car. I did however hit it after I got it rolling once, that is where I like to get my speed, once you are already moving at around 35 or so,just bring it up and see where it goes and how quick it does it. One of the guys at the shop just came from a Chevy dealership and told me that the C5 has a common windnoise problem above 80MPH. Sounds pretty cool to draw a work order and it is for a complaint of wind noise above 80 in a Vette. And for some reason he came to start working on trucks???

Fastest factory car....

My 71 Chevelle with the 402/400 in it. I would cruise the highway between home and Sandusky at 140+ mph....got clocked at that one day by an airplane the staties have.

Well, I've had several hotrods, but for a factory car my '65 Beaumont Sport Deluxe L-79. bought new, same car as the L-79 chevelle with different trim & grille. It ran 13.7 pure stock with 3.08 gears and through the traps in 3rd as 4th was too far for the rear gears. I had a 427 Vette (single 4 auto) and an HO '68 GTO 4spd but the Beaumont was faster & quicker than both.

1969 Nova ss396

The fastest feeling car I drove was a 69 Nova SS396, it broke the tires loose through all 4 gears. Also owned a 99 Camaro SS that was very fast. The Nova felt faster, but I bet the Carmaro would have won in the quarter, and definitely in top end, I had the Camaro up to 126mph and would guess this car would do at least 140mph.

Once upon a LONG time ago, I had a 1970-1/2 Camaro Z-28. I had the speedo to 145 a time or 20. It was stock with headers and corvair turbo mufflers being the only mods.

I rode in a 1968 HEMI charger that the guy had a speeding ticket that said 150+++. He had the ticket framed and lost his driving privledges in OHIO for life. Talk about getting your eye balls planted in the back of your head.

2005 Subaru WRX STi, yes I know it's a 4 banger but it'll hold its own with some of the V8 Mustangs and Camaros out there.

the fastest "Quick" car would be my ex bosses 69 chevelle SS 396 6 pack 4speed 4:10 rear end with L-60 and welded ladder bars

the fastest I ve ever been in my own 4 wheels would be my 71 lemans 350 2 bbl turbo 350 and what ever rear it came with 135MPH those cars have a 140 speedo and they arent kidding there was still more gas peddle left!!!

almost faster than a speeding ticket

Dont let the rice fool ya . a friend of mine has a 1971 GTO he got his doors blown of by a mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4 twin turbo ,by the way that is the same car as a stealth just in ricer clothes. not sayin nothing about your goat but the stealth has 3 advantage, #1 its all wheel drive #2its way, way lighter #3its got twin turbo.
