my most recent "quick car" was my buddies 2000 eclipse 2.4l w/ a home brew turbo kit
going from a roll and runing from a ford sho i had the tires screaming though first and second its only a 14b, so it spools damn fast, pretty much as fast as you can put your foot into the throttle body, and as soon as its spooled its got 250 ft pounds, to bad it doesnt have much top end at the moment it can take a 99ish mustang gt on the street second pic is the coming turbo upgrade, lol (joking of course) ![]()

working at the dodge dealer back in hs (2 years ago)...
1. ttv6 dodge stealth (sucked until spool) 2. SRT-4. Don't call it a neon. Looks similar, but it's not the same personality. I was coasting in 1st and hit it, it was ok till 2500, then the boost hit and it was g-o-n-e! Has a nice gurgly gurgle sound too.3. Ram 2500 open-rear (courtesy rental car) did good one-wheel wonders. Sounded nice for factory exhaust. Hemi has it's appeal, even if it's not a true hemi. 4. Magnum RT (not R/T... don't ask me why ) It was pretty darn quick but was too quiet for my tastes. Especially for being the sporty one. What a dissapointment.5. Hemi AWD Durango (another rental): can't spin em but they accelerate pretty fast with no traction issues. 6. mid-90s mitsubishi eclipse spyder turbo, acceleration felt similar to the SRT4, but slower and more civilized. |

Fastest stock car I have ever driven is my dads '01 Kia Sephia LS, 5spd. it will get off it's feet real quick, and will chirp the tires in every shift if you want it to, it pulls real hard in every gear. of course, my '67 Falcon isn't slow by any means, my brother swears up and dow, his POS '88 VW Fox w/ 4spd will beat my car in the 1/4, and his car is slower than mud off the line, and it is not much faster when at 2-2,500 RPM. All I gotta do is get some smoke rolling off the rear of the Falcon with him watching for him to change his mind, and it will do it, supprisingly because it has 2.73's and is powered by a 200 I6.

Does it have to be American...
If not my 2003 Porsche GT3RS. 0-62 in about 4.4seconds 100mph in under 9seconds and was still pulling (slowly mind you ) at an indicated 202mph...
What not do do at 200mph+... If you or your passanger happens to expel some "Gas" do nt be tempted to vent the vehicle by opening the windows.... It was like depressurising an airplane, maps paper cd's cloths eveything that wasn't nailed down.... Still trying to get the stains out of my shorts
