What gas to run?

I have a 1988 355 sbc and i was wondering what gas i should run? i have a mildly built motor that will have new Hyper pistons putting me at 9.3-1 compression. im guessing i can run 89? new 650 edelbrock carb..

You can start off running 89 and it may work just fine.....but you may also have to adjust your timing to keep it out of detonation under load. Really hard to say w/o knowing your complete engine combo.

Run the good stuff. I even run the good gas in my little Toyota 4 cylinder pick up truck. 315,267 miles and no problems. Your not spending that much more and your valves and pistons will thank you later.

fully rebuilt motor 88 350 bored .30 over so now going to be 355 magnum 270h cam 470 intake 470 exhuast lift headmen headers new pistons performer rpm intake manifold thunder series evs carb 6al igntition
