What gear ratio do you recommend?

I have messed around w/ the calculators and I'm cool with the rpm up to 4.10 gears. I have a 71 nova, 3,000 stall, TH350 tranny, 357 w/ comp 274 cam, power range 1800-6000. I'm thinking about 4.10's since at about 110 mph it puts me at 6100 with my tire size. Does this sound good for the strip in mind? To me it sounds like the 4.10's would max my car out in the quarter which is what I want. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have much experience with gears, and I want to pick the right ones, especially since I'm gonna put them in myself to save money. I got some buddies that have done it before to help, so hopefully it won't be a disaster.

4:10 is just about right for the strip, but murder on the highway.

At the track you are going to want to run slicks. You need to put on the widest, tallest slick you can get under there. Since tire height will alter the rpm. I would suggest you figure out the largest tire you can get and recalculate.
