Sounds very interesting. What trans will you be using? Depending on what you'll use, I would think about 4.56 or so. You want to get up to max speed quickly, hitting redline at the traps. I also have a 3rd gen F body I'd like to race with. I'm having trouble finding a performance torque arm though, something that would mount to the tranny crossover. Do ya have any ideas on that?

Depending on what rear end you have - 6.14 - 6.20.

Based on the limited info you give, I would suggest a 5.13 or 5.38 gear for a 26" tall tire or a 5.57 to 5.86 for a 28" tire.
You want the motor to just pass the peak horsepower rpm point (without overreving) as you pass the finish line, in high gear.

A "400hp" motor in a 3500lb 85 Camaro should be good for 85-86MPH in the 1/8th.
