What is a good custom trans line setup

I used a tubing cutter to cut my tranny lines when pulling my motor and tranny the other day. I could not get the lines loose from the car. I cut them about 10-12 inches from the tranny. I figured I would use a couple of couplings or something. BUT what about some of those quick disconnects or does anyone have a good idea for a cool custom setup?
P.S. Can I use hose to couple the lines that I cut - I had heard before that the pressure was too high? But thats what you do for a trans cooler?
Can anyone offer some advise? Thanks....

a good quality hydraulic hose works well in the tranny cooler setup to splice or hook up something.

Pressure in the cooler system can run over 60 psi in a performance tranny at WOT / low vacuum situation.
