what grit?
This may seem like a dumb one to you pros but I need to know what grit paper to use before spraying sealer. What I have is six year old acylic enamel that has been sanded with 220 grit and primed with two coats of dupont 131 fill-and-sand that has been sitting for nearly two months. The plan is to sand, seal and paint with dupont sealer and BC/CC. This is my pet project(65 mustang)that I have driven for six years with what looks like a cheap paint job(it is!) I want to get it right this time!

400 is fine as well as long as you aren't going to put any fillers over it. anything 300 and above up to 400 is fine. Nothing above 400 untill you get to the final paint.

If your ready for the sealer than it stands to reason that you are done using any fillers of any type. The sealer is applied just prior to the paint finish, which in your case is BC/CC. For final sanding prior to seal coat, we use 360 grit 3M. 360 or 400 will give you the finish you are looking for prior to paint. I don't care for 320 especially if used wet as it is a bit coarse but will work if you are using a high-end sealer like PPG or Dupont. Hope this helps!
