what happens without a canister

What happens when 2 of the 4 vacuum lines are disconected on the charcoal canister ?

You get a vacuum leak unless the hoses and fittings on the canister are plugged.

I don't understand??

Why would you disconnect the lines from the dump canister? At least plug the hoses, Now the canister lines must be capped off too. This canister just captures the fumes, gas and oil vapors and lets them condense inside away from the carb, or throttle body.
