What is the ideal gun nozzle sixe for shooting primer?

I have a 2.2 gun and 1.4 i have a 2k primer!
which would be best 2.2?
or 1.4?
both are H.V.L.P guns

2.2 for primer

1.4 for paint

Read the tech sheets!!

But 2.2 seems a little large for urethane 2k, does it not? I'm not paint master, but...

yes a 2.2 is too big for 2k. You shouldn't need anything bigger than a 1.8(preferably a 1.6). A 2.2 is for polyester primer.

i use a 2.0 for primer, and 2.5 for poly.

every primer is different...i've shot primers that will come out of a 1.6 just fine.......and some that need a 2.0.....talking 2k here, not poly.

for that matter every poly is different. slicksand will spray through a 2.0 just fine......but sikkens wont......needs the 2.5

can always adjust that 2.0 down.

Its a 2K max meyer primer + hardener,it says on tech sheet 1.6 - 1.8 like!but i dont know if the 2.2 will adjust out for it!

2.2 is way too big for 2k. You will blow thru it too quickly and likely have a run, which is rare in primer. A 2.2 is even big for featherfill and is really only good for slicksand. 1.6-1.8 is ideal.
