What Kind of Olds. Rocket

I found an oldsmobile rocket ot in the woods behind my house. the engine valve covers say Oldsmobile Rocket on them. the only numbers that i found on the car or the engine were these b2P-V8-5679, any one know what size engine this is or what should I look at on the car to find out? Sorry i dont have any more info but thats all i found.

Need to know the year of the car! If you don't know, try this. If the car has any tail lights or turn signals that haven't been shot out or damaged beyond recognition. If you look very carefully at the lens there will be a SAE light code on it, usually molded in on the edge somewhere. This code will have the year of the lens cover in it, thus usually the year of the car. From that we can get an accurate engine size.

I'll have to look tonight when i get home, Is the code on the headlights too or just the brake lights and the turn signals. Is there any other way to find out the year, just in case the taillights are broken out, I didn't notice if they were or not, but my luck they will be.

No headlights are replacable items used for many years so they don't have model date codes on them.
