what kind of transmission do i have
I have an 85 f 250 4x4 does it have a c-6 or c5 ?? i dont know i have been told it came with several ones .. i do not know what to believe can anybody help me ... I can say this though it seems to be bullet prrof so far it has stood up to lots of hard pulling and even high temps and just keep pulling like a mule..but i would like to firm up the shifts alittle bit any thoughts anybody??

Go to www.autozone.com enter the type vehicle you have and answer the questions. Then click on identification, then transmission, there it will show you where to look on you trans for the build codes. Use that information to identify your trans.
