What is this out of?

I know its out af a BBC but does anyone know how to tell what this rod is out of? It is on a piece of full size printing paper. it is 10 " long

Looks like about .600" longer big block aluminum rod.. Impossible to tell cubic inch by the rod!

it could be for anything.. but if i had to guess, id say its out of a blown nitro or alky engine, say from a top fuel or f/c?
also, they make engine sizes over 800+ c.i. for the ihra pro stock category. could be a possibilty. i noticed its a BME rod, thats why i 1st thought it would be from a fuel or alky motor.

Whatever it came from,Have it checked before using it.
Most used Alum. BBC rod's are junk.

rod length

Rods are measured from center of small eye to the center of the large eye. Once you have the rod length JE pistons website will tell you which blocks it will fit.

It looks like a polished aluminum cap screw I beam rod. Buying the other 7 won't be cheap.

Ok i found out what its out of. I talked to the guy i got it from. He said its out of a blown alcohol engine. He can't remember the cubes though, he says either 702 or 712 the engine blew up and he ended up with about 4 rods and 2 pistons. one piston has part of the rod hanging off of it. The piston is smashed badly.
