what paint?

Ok so Im ready to try my first paint job.Ive been spraying primer for awhile&buying leftover paints from guys on craigslist to practice on everything from fenders, old fridges, pretty much anything I can find.Well before I shoot my project I figure Ill try it on my truck. Its a black dodge ram the body is straight just the clear is peeling. My monte seeings I put in all new metal &Ive took it down to bare metal before I shot primer Id figure Id do the truck seeings is so straight with the black showing blemishes itd be a good start...so that being said. Can someone recommend a good paint @a good paint thats the easiest Id like to keep it black. But Im open to other colors. From what I read the summit 2 stage seems like a good idea. How much also&hiw many coats?&with a two stage does it need clear?

Your on the right path using SS....I've never used summit so I dont know how long it lasts Nason black holds up well but Omini seems to be as good and you get a lot more paint 6qts...Nason does spray a little better though both will run in the 150.00 - 200.00 range with the hardener...

Omini is PPG's low end paint....Nason is duponts....Unfortunetly the prices have doubled in the last couple years (used to be 100.00 with hardener) so neither are a very good deal any more I wish I could find a paint that was fairly good and about half the price, maybe 100.00 a gal and would hold up about 7-10 yrs. but I dont like switching around...
I also would like to hear from some guys about some new low end paints that are a good deal and spray well....I've heard some good reviews about Matrix but I havent actually used any,
