What is the part called?

I was out changing my carburetor tonight and ran into a problem (a cartor to a holley 500). When I was taking my fuel line out of my carburetor I snapped the little ''gold looking piece'' that conects to the end of the fuel line and the carburetor.

What is this little piece called? (i've called all the people I know and they don't know what the name of it is). I've taken 4 trips to the part store and they don't know what they are.

Thanks for the help anyone can offer,
D200Dodge

Tell the parts person that you need the fitting that screws into the carb and the fuel line attaches to, if they dont know what you mean leave and go to a competent store. Also cut the piece out of the fuel line and un-screw the rest from the carb and take it with you so they can match it up. There shouldnt be any problem if the parts guy has ever turned a wrench.

quadra jet

If this was a Q Jet, I would say its the fuel filter fitting.

Is this part out of the Carter or the Holley?

I have a pic of what I believe is the piece your looking for but I don't know how to post pics.

out of the holley, when you reply there is a place to attach pictures. Not off the fuel filter (down on the side of the block) this goes into the carb my line goes into the side where it says fuel in.

nope, this has a triangle shape in it that is about 1/2 an inch long that if you don't put it in your carb overflows and pours gas everywhere.

Thanks, that should help. Its the only part needed to get my truck running again. The motor was completly rebuilt (was a 318 now a 396.1) and now I can find out what type of power it has. I'm going 4 bbl when I get my tax return.

Thanks so much Bracketeer!

We're sick of your BS. You don't have a 396 inch smallblock, quit spouting crap. Here's reasonable doubt:

A week ago (check the date) this guy writes a thread about how to fix his 318 because he blew it up by not paying attention to the tapping that was going on. Anyway, the oil pump went out and he needs a rebuild as of 1/17. Its now 1/28 and said 318 that previously he didn't even know HOW to make into a 396 (asked us all for crank specs in below thread) is now all rebuilt and running, except for a pesky carburetor part. BTW, bud, your carb is way to small for your giant stroker. Right.
exhibit "A"

Yeah, and apparently this truck was rolled like 2 weeks ago, and we're worried that the frame is cracked. Below thread.
Exhibit "B"

According to below thread, we're also pretty sure he's set on buying a magnum v-10 truck, as of like 5 days ago. Below.
Exhibit "C"

... And for some reason vehicle #3 of said 17 year old boy with no mentioned job is a corsica?! Below.
Exhibit "D"

Then he asks us, "geez, what rear do you think I have?"
Exhibit "E"

...but later that week he's preaching at us not to be whimps because he's got 2000 lbs of sand in his truck... and he's SURE the rear is a 5.38 gear...
Exhibit "F"

And for the icing on the cake, ladies and gentlemen, we're pretty damned sure he's got two or more screen names.

Exhibit "G"

I'm calling BS.

Killerformula,

Quote:
with no mentioned job
**** you, i have a full time job 17.00-02.00 or later 5 nights a week and make 12.00 an hour. I then get up and go to school from 07.00-15.30.

Lets see 1996 dodge ram, waiting for personal reasons to get out of the way (grandfather had eye surgery)

Corsica, hm... first car and hate the damn thing.

I know the carb is too small, haven't been able to pick up the 4bbl intake yet because of my grandfathers situation.

When you buy a set of 250 dollar gears and pay another 150 to have them put in you tend to know what is in your ****ing truck, I was told by the shop I had a limited slip and I doubt that it is so I welded it up and made it like one.

2 weeks ago i rolled it? learn to read ****head

between 20 of my budies we have 5 and a half of them (half because we rolled one).
I've already explaned why there is supposedbly another name out there for me so **** you, **** this site, and **** all the people on it (except for the ones that would help me).
