Seats
Hi Vince - I don't have a 32-34, wish I did, but I do have a 40 Chevy coupe. I took the OEM bench out, (which sat way low), and put in two almost new Ford Explorer 6-way power seats that I got from Ebay for $175 plus $75 freight. They wer a grey cloth, which I had recoved in grey ultraleather from RodDoors (bought in bulk). I based the whole interior on that color, with a slightly darker grey insert in the seats and raised panel portion of the Rod Door panels. Looks cool. They are abotu 20.5in across, are not that tall, and I had to mount them to a base of about 5 inches, so with a chop you should have a lot of play there. The 6ways are all self contained power units, sw on the side, seatbelts mounted to the hinge and travel with the seat fore and aft. Tilt is also power. Since I got these I have seen several rods with these seats redone - seem to be handy and not have a lot of undercarriage space - so probably helps your chop. Good luck with your rod! Gene

Power seat pedestal
Thanks to all who helped with this. Going through this site I found a reference to "Wiseguys", checked it out and there it was....http://www.wiseguys-seats.com/products6.htm
The car is brand new, and I can now use the stock factory bucket The driver's side will be the only one with power. |

The reason I wanted an aftermarket power option is because the car has leather interior, and is new.
I found out that the power seat pedestal is the same as what is installed in Chevies. I have not checked on this, but if so, would be the way to go price-wise. |
