It might be just me, but I had a similar cam from Crane and it was a 278 duration cam also. The idle was a bit rough also on mine. Your cam seems to be a bit more than what I had and mine started at 2400rpm and up. Doesn't sound like an RV cam to me. Usually a stock cam is around 250 duration for a 350 engine. That duration with your setup is probably why your idle is off. I set my timing at about 15 deg and had my idle turned up just a bit to work right for me. Alot of good people on here with alot more knowledge than me, but it is just my 2 cents.
