what size rim, slick width and backspacing are needed?

Hello,
I have a 1972 El Camino with a 12 bolt rear end. What size rim, slick width and backspacing are needed to cram the biggest slick possible underneath my El Camino? Also how do I find out how much backspacing is needed to cram a big tire underneath my camino, I was thinking of using a 15x10 rim, or if not a 15x8?

Thanks

The 15x8 late sixties- early seventies Corvette rim used to be very common on the rear of seventies drag Chevelles. The offset is correct and you can use an eleven inch tire on it, no problem..
