I called this number (843) 676-2603 and they told me these additional tips were available for the 43430-8VGA.

25941 97096-17K 38308 NOZZL SET (1.7MM)
25943 97096-19K 38308 NOZZL SET (1.9MM)
25942 97096-22K 38308 NOZZL SET (2.2MM)

I use the 1.4 tip for epoxy primer and the 2.2 for polyester primer.

ahhh one more question will my 5 hp 25 gallon 9.1cfm@40 psi and 7.1 cfm @ 90psi compressor run this gun? If not what would the requirements be for a gun to work with my compressor? Any links to guns would be helpful.

I have about the same size compressor at home and have painted some small parts. The compressor has a hard time keeping up so you cannot paint as fast as you would like to but it will work.

Shocking News

I just ordered the 2.2 mm nozzle and tip set for the Harbor #43430 gun and they told me that the gun is discontinued!
Fans of this gun better buy parts or a new gun when they go on sale, maybe for the last time, before it' too late.

I think they are just tryin to pull a fast one. This also explains the wide variation in peoples experiences with this gun. Its on sale again on the website . I stopped at the store today after work to snag one. The one on display was exactly that same gun, and looked pretty substatial and fairly well made. So I grabbed one of the boxes off the shelf that had 43430 clearly on the box. As I was standing in line, I decided to open the box to make sure everything was there. Uh, this dont look like the same gun? I go back and check several more boxes and they are all the same (wrong) gun, nothing like the dissplay piece. I then notice the super cheap $12.99 gun...hey that looks EXACTLY like the one in the 43430 box. SO I think they discontinued the original 43430 gun, gave the same part number to the cheapy and continue to sell.

Vince..can you post a picture of the one you had good luck with? The quickest way I can see is t o look at the hook. Appears that the real 4340 has a separate attached hook, while the fake 43430 has it cast into the body.

Maybe I'm making too much of this, but I didnt buy it anyway. I found this Finishline kit with four tips for less than $200.

Rubes.... My 43430 has the hook formed into the body of the gun, like most all that I have seen with them. The gun that is on sale for $12.99 is usually not the HVLP version. I was in HF yesterday, a mistake as it was a Grand Opening, and they had a shelf full of the 43430 guns. I didn't open any of the boxes to see if they were the same though.

Both of the 43430's that I have the hook is cast into the body. Both spray really well. They both also have HVLP cast into the handle
