can anybody recommend me a nice decent spraygun that shoots 2.0 to2.3?

try the astro line as they work well for primers and not bad for clears and don't bend the budget all that much. Shhh don't tell the experts..Save your SATA or Iwata for the base and clear..

The 2 main things for chip resistance that I got out of this is to keep the paintbuild down as much as you can on the front of the hood and those kind of areas and use a really good clear..Also activate your base..
