Couple ways to tell if its a Dave Koorey body. The back window will have kind of rounded bottom corners which isn't exactly correct. You will have an indent for the gas cap in the lower driver's side rear. It will also have door hinges with three philips screws that hold the hinges to the doors. If your body has all these then there is a good chance it was made by the same guy. Eight grand for a body/chassis combo with a couple spare engines probably isn't too bad in today's dollars. Like I said before I paid $3600 over 15 years ago.

Just went back through my paperwork and his 3 window has a 3 1/2" chop. He also made a 2 door, roadster, and a 33/34 coupe. His early stuff (pre '95) was better quality than his later stuff. After his shop burned he tried to start it up again but just couldn't make a go of it. I've heard he's still making bodies and selling them on e-bay but have no first hand knowledge that this is correct.

When I took delivery of mine it came with two driver's side interior window moldings. I called him and told him I needed to exchange one for a passenger's side. I had to go to Tampa on a business trip so I stopped by his shop to exchange it and he gave me a personal tour. That was back in the very early 90's. It was a decent operation at the time and he had about 10 employees laying glass etc. For the price what he was selling was pretty good quality. Not like Wescott or Gibons, but still a good bang for the buck.

If you go to my web site (link below) you can take a close look at my body to see if yours is the same.
