My high school photo identification card, I COULD have scanned my senior picture but this would be more along the lines of what you would have wanted to do. HUH.

We weren't all that far apart.

In the attached pisture I lived where the Green star with the red dot in it under the "S" is in State Rd. in the bottom map. Mike, M&M lived just under the middle of the star where Bath is in the bottom map. His parents still live there. Our high school would be on Clark Rd just above the last "L" in hill of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (my mom has been buried there for 16 years now). |

I believe I saw that pickup in a recovery yard not long ago. Seems a bunch of good 'ol boys went out drinkin' one Saturday afternoon and coming home later that night two of them rode in the cab and three in the bed. Seems the driver lost control and it went over an embankment into a river.
The two in the cab were able to roll down the door glass and swim to safety. The three in the bed drowned. State Police theorized that they couldn't get the tailgate down. Can you say KENTUCKY...

i love that daytona wing on that truck. holy cow, i bet his friends are jealous. i had a buddy who had a 70 something torino i think. beautiful car. apparently even had a cleveland in it. well anywho, he wanted that aggresive nose down stance so he welded rods between the axle and frame to lift the back, had 7 different shades of primer all over with a beautiful stained and varnished 2x6 rear bumper. the part i liked was the clearance lights but the best was a ventilation hand cranked scoop from a camper mounted on his hood. one sweet car i tell you. i ask him about the car now and then and he says he wished he never sold it. wish i had a picture for you guys. oh yea, i forgot the purple interior lights.

Hey, wich wun o yuse guys wuz at muh howse takin pichers o muh proto-tipe Krafsmen serees suupertruk? Now everboddy is gonna hav wun. Gonna hav ta skrapp da thing an start over.
Ya know... The old "nose down" stance used to be quite popular. The redneck super long rear spring shackles used on the leaf spring dodges were quite impressive. I guess some of the advantages were that they got better gas mileage and went a little faster because they were always going downhill. Everything that I ever owned had rear coil springs. I was too broke to buy a second set of springs so that I could wind them together to give my car that redneck hot rod stance. Gee, to think of all that wasted gas and lost speed........... I was at the post office one day and I see a nice old Galaxy 500 in the parking lot. I looked at it when i got out and it had purple carpet on the dash and dingle balls hanging from the headliner, chain link steering wheel, etc. The best part was the traction bars were mounted backwards (snubbers facing the rear). LMAO, made my day.
