What are they called? Ice air condition???

Hey everyone

I am looking for one of these old air condition that looks like a jet intake and a tube fittet on the passenger side glass. The ones you filled with ice. But I cant find what they are called.

Names, nickname, brands.....etc I am greatfull for all the info I can get.

swamp cooler...

Hi,you can still find the swamp coolers on EBAY occassionally.

They are called "swamp coolers" because after a while that is what your house, or car will smell like.

Dry ice is CO2, not healthy to breath.

One brand was the "Cool-Can" Cooler. The reason they are called "Swamp Coolers" is that they use evaporation from water to cool the air.
