I never got to see a Matco box up close; but I am impressed with how sturdily built the snap ons are. I'm sure Matco are similarly well built.

For the more budget oriented (hobbyist?), take a look into Waterloo (click for catalog in pdf form) . Most (I would say all but I'm not 100% sure) models are made here in the USA. I think they're the best for the money... I know Snap-Ons are great, but who parks a dump truck on their toolbox? Pretty neat test though.
