Just about any Chevy (GM) tranny should fit..............a few clutch splines and throw out bearings are different.......

Is the bellhousing from a truck or a car? The truck transmissions have a larger input bearing housing and thus the hole in the bellhousing is larger - about 5 1/4" if I remember correctly. The car bellhousing (and all GM car transmissions) have a smaller input bearing housing, something under 5".
