what transmission to use???
what transmission would be best for me?
I have access to all 3 Chevy trans. 350 400 and 700R4. I will rebuild any of them.. I will need to buy a torque converter. I will be putting this in a 1947 Plymouth with a stout 355, running around 500 hp. I am going to use this as a cruzer only. no dragging. I plan to take the car on the freeway. Any ideas??? will the bell housing on the 700 bolt up to a pre 87 block? is a 700 strong enough for the application??? Will a stock 700 out of a 3/4 ton truck work? |
