What truck is this

I don't know why i always find the smallest of trucks so appealing. Im 6'6" and i highly doubt i would ever fit.
I found this image searching for a 39 ford pickup. Can anyone confirm what truck this is?

If this is a 39 ford, they have definitely changed the grill. The cab shape and design do look like the 37-39 ford pickups. What do you think they did to the chassis to get the truck to sit that low? What do you see that is unique on this truck?

Might be a 37 but the 38 and up had different body beltline moldings. As for being low. Hard to say fronm the pic but it might be on a S10 chassis or? The front of the frame does look like it is Z'd or has a kick up - not sure if that is a stock frame or a Z'd tube frame. As well the body has been channelled over the frame.

In my opinion, there's just something not right about a late 30's truck without fenders. It would just look so cool if it had them. Oh well. To each his own.

I think they look so much better without the fenders.

I would go with rear fenders but no fronts.

Not sure if it is a Ford, the door, door handle, body line, and wiper set up look allot like a '41-'46 Chevy

Don't think it is a Ford. The flat, one piece wind shield would put it in the 35/36 Ford range, but the belt line and the shape of the door glass opening is wrong for this vintage Ford. International or Willys maybe. The lines and doors are wrong for Dodge/Plymouth and it is not a 30s Chevy.

Sitting height is not a problem for a six and a halfer, but leg room is another story. Your knees would be trying to scratch your ears.

Any other guess on the model. I am actually going to see if i cant contact hte person who photographed this truck and turn this guess gaming into something more fun

The window did seem small to be a ford. I just haven't seen a chevy cab that is this round.

Are the pickup beds always that short or has that been modified too?

I Googled "Smith's Hot Rods" off the door of the truck and found this

Chris
I have seen that site before. Thanks for that though.

Man, i wish i wasn't so tall sometimes. I want to drive one of these trucks. I need to start hitting the local shows so i can check out what i fit in. I would love to have one of those model a's or shoebox cars in that gallery as well

to bring this back to life. What make/model truck is the truck in my Original Post?

Here is a 39 chevrolet truck:

Compared to the truck of my dreams:

That window openning is very distinct. I am doubting that it is a chevrolet cab.

It kind of looks like a Studebaker pickup that has been sectioned. The top has not been chopped but the doors are short. Or maybe an International

I sure like it. Even so I like fenders, I think it looks better without them. Kinda like the 50`s and 60`s when you seen some open wheel hot rods out and about, it just gives it that nostalgia look.
