What type of clips do you use for holding door panels on?
I'm trying to figure out how you keep the heads of the clips from showing through to the face of the door panel. I thought about using those new type of plastic christmas tree clips, but they can snap when removed. Another type I thought of using was the steel type from the 60's cars, but they would show through also. I want to keep the thickness of the panel as thin as possible. Thanks

Do you mean glue 2 panels together, thus making the panel 1/4" thick?
What if a clip breaks? Would you grind a recess into one of the panels to make up for the clip thickness? Also, where is a good place to purchase these clips. I always see them at the swap meets, but now being winter, I don't want to have to wait till spring. Thanks. |
