your shaft bottomed out and pushed the hub from the pad.
size does matter , you bottomed out .did she go wobble on you before she blew her nut?
try a washer next time .
Have you lubed that thing lately? There are bearings in them that get dry, and hot. Put some oil in the air inlet once in a while, like you are supposed to. Specially if you are using it in the "grinding mode".
I haven't used in years but I did oil it before I started this project.Maybe not enough oil but I did not want the oil to get on the car.Is it possible I'm running to much air presure through it causing it to spin to fast and get to hot?I was using it the DA mode not the grinder mode..
