Lightbulb What ya think?

Hi guys/dolls.I'm about done with my frame and am now getting ready to do some motor "work".I have a 87'vette,TPI motor/aluminum head/roller cam/,with only 13k miles. This is going in my 37ford/corvette ifs/irs 3.08 gear/700r4,running 28" rear tires
Thinking about a "HOT CAM KIT".Is this a good idea? Would like to retain that crisp throttle response at the low end.Was told I should only go with the 1.6 rockers,as this would give me that extra lift with the stock cam.Would like to avoid
opening up the motor since its barely broken in.What about valve springs?

Reggie I would not touch it. The people that owned vettes drove the crap out of them and they held up good. I would leave it alone because you are like most of us you like to get in it and want it to go. But you are not going to race it all the time and the way it is it will go good with the cambo you are going to use and still get good MPG and cruise good. Some times less is better. ROY

Roy is right. Sometimes a "big" cam is not always the "best" cam. I think that 'Vettes had quite a bit of snot with a stock engine, so I think you should be fine without the cam.
