What year is my 350 Chevy motor?
Hey guys I am currently in the middle of putting a 350 Chevy motor in a 86 CJ7 and would like to know where the numbers are on the block to identify the year. Also I would be interested in any additional information regarding this specific swap (350 into a Jeep). Currently the engine has mixed and matched pulleys and I was thinking of going serpentine or getting just a cleaner and more factory pulley set up....any information would be great. Thank you all for your time and I look forward to the information.

There is a machined pad in front of the passeger side head. It has a number with 2 or 3 letters at the end. Look up those letters here......

go to mortec.com they can tell you were to find the numbers and what year it is.
