I have a '69 Camaro ZL1 that i payed less than $10K for. They were going to crush it. They had no idea what they were about to destroy. When I offered them $7,000 they agreed. It has run 12's before but I don't think it will do much more than that. It's in pretty bad condition as far as the body goes but the engine is in fair shape. They told me that some old guy was making payments on it to another guy (it cost him 22K) and he died and his grandson got it and drove it for about 15 years. He really drove it into the ground and he didn't keep it up w/ good maintainence. After that he sold it to the crusher or $700. It turns out my friend kyles dad who owns the crusher knew all of the people know eachother. We only know the history of it up until about 17 years ago. I got it in a small town in Fl. where i used to live so alot . I guess it's ppretty good that it runs 12's when all i have on it is edelbrock exhausts, headers, a new bigger oil pan a holly carb and a new camshaft.

Man-some guys have all the luck! (Deathtoricers!)

I drive a crusty dusty 82Z28 (aka "Turd Gen Camaro) year round. Check out the cool options-
non-working power windows (82 was the only year for this style motor/regulator).
Multi colored 305 (bare rust block, yellow heads, orange intake, pistons & rods from 3 different motors!).
4 bent wheels-not bad, just dont drive 55-75mph or your teeth vibrate out.
It did have a bad ant problem when I got it.
Heres the kicker-a 4.11 OPEN rear end (it came with the car!).
It doesnt really look bad, but I know better!!!

Needless to say, all my money goes to the other Camaro

Man, I drive a little Ford Escort. It's a '99 2-door that I really don't care for right now. Anyway, it's just a main means of transportation. I'm just saying this because when I first got the car I beat it up and now it's paying me back for that. It's also my first street car so i still have some love for it.

Deathtoricers as far as I'm concerned you are 100% full of **** and I do not believe even 10% of your story.

1991 MR2 Turbo

Right now it's what the Supra guys would call "BPU" (basic performance upgrades). A'PEXi Power intake, HKS Hiper exhaust, and a TurboXS manual boost controller. With those power-adders it's run a 13.9 @ 2 ticks under 100mph. Not bad for a 4-banger.

Handling upgrades consist of H&R Sport springs over KYB AGX 4-way adjustable struts, Volk Racing GT-N wheels with 225/40-17 tires up front and 255/40-17 in the rear. The allignment is aggressive enough to cause me to eat rear tires every 10k miles (lots of toe-in). It handles really, really well.

Due next month are a KO Racing downpipe, turbo upgrade, Greddy eManage piggyback and 12-second timeslips

That sounds like a pretty decent import! Good to see there are guys that are serious about import performance and not just looks.
My car? I'm running a 1995 Skylark. 30+ MPG with 130,000+ miles on it! I can't afford to get rid of this thing! Wait until you see what I have planned though!

Ah yes, what I drive. Daily drivers are a '91 F150 4X4 (for the winter), '93 Nissan Sentra (for the mileage), and a '90 Grand Caravan (for the family). Toys are my '73 Fastback Mustang and a '91 Harley Davidson which are both in my photo album.

yeah I drove a 85 camaro z28... it had 30 dents... I got a racing ticket and as a result I don't drive it right now... will hopefully in summer... it is a blessing in disguise though since now I have the money and time to put into fixing the car instead of breaking it... so far I have put a new rad in and fixed all the little things that didnt' work... also I removed all the dents and made a hoodscoop (needs finishing) and I bought a 400 sbc block with con rods... a raped crank heads and a bunch of other odds and ends... I am planning on putting in a 9 inch... (might as well when I swap shocks and coils in the rear... may not be for a while but I will be ready) and I am hoping to one day put in a t-56 6 speed.... Interior wise it is all stock and I hate the color so I would like to redo it in leather (most likely do it myself if I can figure out how) otherwise I will deal with what I have...

I've got my 78 Nova Custom (see avitar pic)which I drive every day to my college classes. It has a 250ci L6 that made an astonishing 105hp off the assembly line. After 100,000 miles (14,000 or so mine) it smokes, ratles, and rolls, making probably 90hp. It has an Auto Gauge 4in tach on the steering column, a Sunpro triple gauge set (oil press, volt, and temp)under the dash, and a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler in place of the cat, which I dumped because it was plugged. Every ricer I run into wants to run and I have to wave them all off, and they still punch it like they have something to prove(I don't get it). I did take it to National Trail Raceway outside columbus, and ran an incredible 19.7!! at 72mph!! WOOHOOO!!! Talk about fast!! (Please note sarcasm) You gotta love late 70's cars. GM should be punished for making a nova that slow

Before that, I had a 69 Rambler American 4dr. (only 50,000 miles!) It had a 232 with an offenhouser 4 brrl intake and a 450 cfm holley chokeless carb, no muffler, 3sp auto and 2.90 open rear end. It had enough balls to beat a v8 late model mustang or camaro off the line to about 40-50mph (estimated approx 250-260hp). I never got it to the track, but in a very rural area, I ran it up a section of road I know is a quarter mile and I got to almost 90mph. I fugure it would have been good for a 15-15.5 sec quarter. Then stupid me had to go roll the thing 4 times
