1950 Chevy Station Wagon. $10. Never got it running. Did cut off the tip of my right thumb with it.
First car I owned which ran is the first car I drove. 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom Convertible. Had a 65 GTO 389 in it but the PO put a 2 bbl on it for insurance. Also kept the 3 on the tree for the same reason. |

67 mustang I paid $175 for. Originally a 6 banger, but converted to a built 289. First of MANY pony cars and the start of what would be an ongoing addiction to speed.

I was 15, my Dad came home from work and said his buddys' neighbor had an old 55 Plymouth for sale. I wasn't too jazzed but for 30 bucks I was willing. We went to look at it, a 4 door, headlights starting to rust, drivers floorboard almost gone. I popped the hood, there was a Red Ram hemi, 330 C.I. under the hood. I quickly closed the hood down and said I'll take it. Put a battery in it, added brake fluid about once a week, drove the mortal crap out of it, it was quick! Got into all kinds of hot water with it, ending up with a sale to a friend that circle tracked it until he blew it up. Had 24 cars by the age of 20, fix and sell, there are a few I wish I still had.

[QUOTE=cboy]Dan, I knew I liked you for a good reason...looks like we were weened on the same car, a 55 Plymouth (see entry 43 above). Unfortunately, mine didn't come with a hemi. But two years later, I put a 331 hemi in this '52. So ALMOST even. And how cool are free-handed graphics by a 17 year old with zero artistic talent.
Mucho cool factor with the lettering! I like it.
