Mine was a light blue 1956 Ford 2-door sedan. I still have it. In fact the last car I bought was a light blue 1956 Ford 2-door sedan. It seems like I've answered this question before in another thread with pretty much the same title. Talk about Deja Vu. |
Had a 1956 Chevy Bel-air with a straight six. I paid $60.00 dollars for it in 1974.

Mine was a butt-ugly two toned green 47 Chevy 4 door sedan
|
A '53 Chevy 2-door, which I bought for $75 in 1963-64. That led to a long line of Chevies that you would die for! :-)

1962 Chevy 2 Acadian, ugly red + white......but it had "love lights" under the dash and fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror. $50.00 from my cousin. Also had 2 doors too many so there really was no hope for it. One of the back doors came off when a buddy opened it while we driving down a bumpy dirt road......so it was a 3 door sedan until I got it home. The old man towed it away himself that evening. The next day my mom got a big Buick and he tossed me the keys to the Plymouth station wagon......another butt ugly car....but it worked.

I bought the 1956 only about a 1/4 mile from home. Had never driven a stick car before so I was glad the trip home was all down hill. I just started the car and was able to get it out of the seller's yard. Keeping the clutch in I made it home. Proud as could be I went into the house to have my mom and brother come out to look at it. My heart fell to ground when they came out and there was what looked to be 50 gal. of oil running down the road from my new car. :(

'55 Chevy tudor post, 265, 3 on the tree. I think I got it in '65 for $50 from a guy my Dad worked with. I kinda might know where it is, too!

1966 Rambler Rogue. Wish I still had it. It was the experimental car for the Javelin.

First car
My very first car, a 1927 model "T" coupe. Sold it before I Got it done. Next was a 1927 Model "T" Roadster which I built and drove when I was 13 years old. That was back in 1957, I also had a 53 chev to drive in the winter, had a hopped up GMC truck 6 in it.
