whats this car worth.

sorry. i have to post this for my bro(kenny13z3). lol.

He just bought a 1980 chrysler cordoba. almost show car condition. just gotta replace 2 pieces of trim and finish fixing the tranny. it's all original. he is the second owner of the car. it was driven by an old man who put alot of time into keeping it clean and in good shape. the engines never seen past 3,000 rpms. it has a 318/auto. all leather interior. not one spot of rust. it has never seen snow, and has only seen rain a few times. car has 183,196 miles on it, but engine was rebuilt at 100,000. runs great, and looks ever better. it has a leather top on it. paint is black walnut. interior is tan(i think). damn thing even has the original spare tire, which is in like new condition. it's been a michigan car all it's life. he wants to get it finished and take it to some car shows this summer. He wants to know how much it's worth because he's already had 5 offers on it in the 3 days he's owned it. he wont sell it, but he's curious as am i. lol. Thanks.

also, if anybody knows what rear gear ratios these cars came with, we would really appreciate it.

the guy was afraid he'd blow it up if he went that high. it's always been old man drivin'. lol. he bought it new when he was 65 back in early 1980. we took it to 5,000 this morning though. engine needs a tune up, but it runs real good. ill have pics in my gallery in a few minutes.

EDIT: got the pics up.

I almost got one when I was about 14, they are nice cars, getting rare too.
Still need to see some pics before I could guess.

The best way to tell the true value of the car would be to have at least a few appraisals done when he gets the little things back up to snuff, and then see how high those offers to buy the car go before he says it's still not for sale.

I have also heard that posting it on Ebay with an OUTRAGEOUSLY high reserve so that there would be no risk of one buying it as you said he truly wants to keep it, the final offer would be a true market indicator of its worth. Sure you would still have the Ebay auction fees, but they would be no more than another appraisal.
