what engine is best??? best for what? the best small block GM ever made in my wiew was the 48 valve ZR-1 motor, and the best bigblock was without a doubt the ZL-1 all aluminum 427 bigblock, but both of these are very very expensive and may not be the best for you.. so what are your needs, bigblock, smallblock, turbo, supercharged, naturally aspirated, show or go, gasoline or alcohol,..

all of this is very nice to dream about but in the end i think a GM performance parts 350 HO or ZZ4 crate motor will make you more than happy and not break the bank.

I agree with all that has been said. If you are looking to not break the bank, you can't go wrong with a 350. Cheap parts and you can make those suckers scream!!!
