In your part of the world it might be called the 'sill' as in door sill.
I seem to remember this word being used in the UK and europe although it's been a while since I was there. |

My pleasure As for the beams (frame rails), I would say for a unibody car like yours there were none there. If you wanted to shore it up by adding some, even temporarily, it would be fine. Looks like you are doing a thorough job of rust removal. Best of luck with your car! ![]() BTW I think Customconspiracy is correct.
