Hello Everyone,
I'm attempting my first ground up restoration on my 68' Mustang. Currently the car is 100% taken apart and on a rotisserie. I've stripped the entire body to bare metal and I've primed the entire body inside and out with Matrix's Epoxy Primer. As for the under body and engine compartment, i would like to finish them with a black satin finish, but I'm not sure what product(s) to use. Should I just paint the engine compartment with Matrix's base coat and top coat with their clear and add a flattner to achieve the satin finish, or is there a better way to finish the engine compartment? Also as for the under body, is the epoxy primer all that is needed or should it be coated with something else. My car will be used as a summertime weekend driver and it will be taken to local car shows. Thanks in advance for your ideas and thoughts ~ Lenny B
