Whats a tandem MC?
Is there a difference between a Tandem master cylinder and my stock one(76 corvette dual reservoir)

The tandem master cylinders I'm familiar with came on early 1960s GMC and Chevy trucks. See pic.

that thing is weird. I'm asking because I'm looking at aftermarket MCs and a lot of them say they are tandems...but they don't look like that.

Is it one of these?
 There is no significant functional difference between your stock MC and one like that, as long as you keep the same bore size. SSBC and CPP make those as well. I believe that ssbc has an integral prop valve. later, mikey

Look at any American car made after 1966 and you'll see a tandem master cylinder. It's just two cylinders in one assembly, one right behind the other.
