The rear you have under the 58 is referred to as the old style 10 bolt. Six cylinder gear was usually 3.36 behind the cast iron powerglide. Rear will be good with street tires up to around 300 hp at the crank.

[QUOTE=jvsapp]i hear that.... i liked the look, but now they are played out. my nova will be sporting original rocket rims... once they are rechromed. those pictures are reallly nice though. i like the 2 tone one. ene though it dosen't have the glass in.QUOTE]

Hey wait a second... If Torque Thrust II's are 'played out', then those old 60's chrome SS Craeger's are played out twice - once in the 60's and once in the 00's. Aren't dem Rockets rims spinoffs of dem 'played-out' SS Craegers??

FYI: I kinda like 'em both but then, I'm kinda played out myself ..

true... the have made a come back and are getting played again. i really liked the TT II's when they came out, i also liked the budnik famosa, but everyone and their brother was putting them on. i saw in a recent magazine someone was selling original sets of cragars for $1k... and you can still buy them brand new. i have a set of 15 x 3 1/2" and 10", but that will probably make it onto my morris. my rockets came on the parts car i bought from the junkyard. and with a rechrome i think they will be really nice. being that they were the american racing of the time(cheaper knock offs) you really don't see too many sets around. this was the first set i found, and i recently found a single 15 x 12" one sitting in the back of a car. now if i could score a decent set of Mags, i might consider putting them on, but i just want something a little different. to pull up to the cruise night and everyone think they are cragars, but when the walk up and look, see the rocket center caps and think when was the last time they saw a set...
