I recently bought a 68 El Camino. It came with 2 motors 1 brand new 350ci crate motor. and a motor that was removed because the guy said it was built to much for his daughter, he told me that the motor that was origanly in it was in great shape, well it's not. I have decide to use the crate motor and I have bought a brand new trans. My question is what is the old motor and tranny worth. The motor is a 4 bolt main 350 with a thrown rod. it looks to have been balanced and has some decsent parts (Roller rockers?) and includes everything from carb to pan I'm not sure what it would take to get it fixed. The tranny is a turbo 350 and has a deep pan and a 12" concerter on it that's all I know about it. I bought a new one cause it is for my wife and I wanted to make sure it was all good. Any clue what I could get for it and is anyone interested?

You will need to find just the right person looking for whats left of the engine and doesn't mind used parts. Selling that kind of stuff is hard.
What heads are on it? Carb? Intake? The bolt on stuff will sell faster than internal parts.

the trans may sell for a couple hundred if its in good shape, but again, no one knows how good of shape its in.

If you just want it all gone, I wouldn't turn down 3 or 4 hundred for the lot.
