You kind of lost me. Do you want to know if we like those three pedals?
Or do we think putting three in the car is the way to go?

I like the pedals, as far as weather you run a stick or auto. transmission, it all depends on what you are doing with it. I have gone both ways, if you do a lot of cruising, where you start and stop a lot, Auto. would be my choice, that would be based on how much leg room, how much pressure in your clutch, and how strong is your leg.
I used to lead the MSRA's Friday night cruise, I was a lot younger than I am now and on a long cruise my leg would be sore. If you are just going to use it for driving around, I would say your choice.

Again I think it's up to each person, and how much room they have, not everyone is small, not everyone is big, I have been in cars were there was a stick, and I could not get my foot on the clutch. The owner was about 5'5" and I'm 6'2", and the seat was not movable, if it would have been auto, or the seat would move, I could have drove it.
It sounds like you already have your mind made up anyway.

Putting three pedals in it makes it no more a hotrod than putting a v-6 would make it less of a hotrod. It's all up to the person that owns it, like I said I have had both, I like driving both, it is all in what you want, you no one else, it's that simple.

When you ask that type question, all you are doing is finding what people like, some are going to say stick, others Auto. And you already have your mind made up.

Bob

I see it like this: I love driving a car with a manual that has a nice tight shift pattern and a clutch with some pressure to it. I had a 96 mustang with a t-45 that had a pro 5.0 shifter and a ford racing clutch. It only had 215 hp and was the sohc 4.6L but it was a blast to drive. I've driven faster cars with clunky shifters and poorly adjusted pedals and I'd rather be in an automatic in that case.

Also my daily driver is has a 4L60e, and I think it's a great transmission regardless of how many pedals it takes to operate it. The 3.06 first gear is great for getting my truck's heavy butt moving and the overdrive lets me get great mileage.

I'm with Bob on this one. My coupe is an auto, I am not getting any younger, my wife will drive this car and I want to keep this car til I kick the bucket, it's my dream of a lifetime car.

Now, if I had a 55 Chev or a 70 Chevelle SS, def a 4 speed. And it would have to run fast enough to take it to the nostalgia drags when ever the mood strikes. (12 second or faster E.T.)

I agree with Bob and Dan on this even though my T/A is a 4-speed and i love it and my camaro is a factory 4-speed with a auto in it now but it will have a manual in it again someday. But as stated to each his/her own but having 3 pedals in it don't make it a hotrod. JMO But i do love shifting the gears can't deny that. But when i do get around to building my dream "HOTROD" It will have a automatic in it so i can drive the heck out of it in comfort. JMO again. Like Dan i am not getting any younger.

When i was younger I would have said yes... But now !!! That is for the birds... A real hot rod doesn't have to have three pedals.. Build one and spend sometime in traffic,, You will change your mind about that real fast..
