Post wheel base

I need to know what the factory wheelbase is for a '55- '59 chevy short wheelbase pickup is. Or if anyone has one of these pickups with a camaro front clip, that wheelbase dimension would be helpful. I had to cut mine off because someone had welded it in crooked.

According to these guys;

the regular short wheelbase is 114 inches. The Camaro (second series) is 108.

Cool

Now to weld in the Camaro clip and have it square. I used 4 plum bobs and a caulk line and a large carpenters square and a amall level. Go to the rear end. urn the wheel with the tire off so that 2 lugn nuts are on top. Take the small level, put it on the 2 lug bolt and tie the plum bob to the bottom lug bolt. Level the top bolts and the plum bob will show a mark on the floor, mark it. Go to the otrer rear wheel and dpo the same. Take the caulk line and go across to the two marks and caulk mark across/under the rear end. Take the Square and find the mark under each wheel and mark the 90deg toward the front wheels, now extend the mark with the caulk line, marking the floor. Measure up 114in and mark the floor. Carefully line up the front clip. put the level on the top 2 lub bolts and a plumbob on the bottom bolt. Tack weld when the plum bob toutches 114in on the caulk line. Do the same to the other side. It will work. Just did it to my 37Dodge, installed a MII kit. Measure twice, weld once.
