I believe they were later....like the 80s.......The real ones were all aluminum. The ones I had on my 55 were made in 68

Yes and no, technically there are 200s but 99% of the photos have the aluminum hoops not the steel. On page 2 of the photos row 1 pic 5 those appear the same as mine. Looks like the 200s have been made since the late 60s early 70s with periodic changes. Just trying to figure out when mine were made. |

80s sounds right. Maybe even later. They had some of the steel rim and chromed spokes in the 80s that were made in Brazil. The real Americans were 1 piece. I think Western wheel also made some of the 1 piece aluminum daisey wheels in the late 70s.

The 2 lane blacktop car has the vintage trademark. You can tell the poser wheels that don't have the trademark.
Some of the repop wheels have the trademark but the wheel size is wrong.

I have a set of 15x7 zero offset 200s wheels made in 72. They are all aluminum, one piece. I believe that they were also offered fully polished. My original center caps were also hex and said American Racing, not rounded. I think those pictured are knock offs?
