Wheel Hub Bearings Bad??

Heres my New problem. When and only when I am highway driving do I get a loud sorta grinding noise when I am over 100 km/h. It doesnt come on in city driving and I notice that when on the highway and I just let off on the gas it sorta dies down. Could this be a wheel bearing or something else????? Thx

If it's a rear wheel drive vehicle, you might want to look at "U" joints..........

Its front wheel drive and no the sound will come and stay just more vibrating. The sound doesnt get louder stays the same at any speed over 100kmh.

My wife's car was doing the same thing, I figured for sure it was bearings. I checked and both sides appeared fine. No strange tread wear on the tires either. Finally I just put new tires on it and the problem was gone. I have no idea why, may have been a bad cord inside of one of the tires. I could'nt find any bulges anywhere on them. ??? Thats been 5000 miles ago and the sound has'nt returned..
