Wheel setback

Can anyone direct me to a site or have the information needed to determine what size of rims can be placed on a car without the tire sticking out past the fender and will not rub the inner fender well when making a turn?

What are you working on ? the best way for me is to measure and see just how much room there is now with what is already on it or place a set on then check it that way. JMO

here's a little info, not sure on how you want to do this.
How to Figure a Wheel Offset | eHow.com
Offset (wheel) | Ask.com Encyclopedia

The second to last is, IMO, the best, along with the last link.
