Wheel studs screw in vs. pressed?

Is there any reason to choose one over the other for a mild street/strip car?

Yes, lack of bulging pocket book.. If it's not a high horsepower 14" wide tire, competition only car. Go for pressed studs. They have worked fine for many years.

Just put a dab of red locktite on the threads that end up in the axle flange. You will be fine.

Of course you realize you will have to use lugnuts that allow the stud to come through. I think that is a NHRA requirement in some classes.

You won't have any problems using those. They are nothing more than fully threaded bolts screwed in from the back of the flange with a lockwasher. You will have to buy open ended lugnuts though, about $25.00 from Summit.
