Wheel/Tire Sizes that fit 77 Malibu

Sir(s) My name is Tyler"Doc"Holiday and i'm currently restoring a 77 Chevy Malibu Classic Coupe. I've installed a 350/350 HP Crate Motor with a 350 Turbo Tranny. Car performs well and as expected. Now i'm down to the body work, interior and wheels. Here's where I need help. Year One Inc has brought back the 5-spoke rally wheel from the early 70's. It was very popular on 70-72 Chevelles, 70-72 Monte Carlos, 70-74 Z28 Camaros. The new version is only offered as a 17"X9" with 5" backspacing. I'm nuts over this wheel man. Its offered also in the original gunmetal grey color or polished aluminum. My question to you is do you think it will fit my car running on a 225/60-17 size tire. I want as much tire as possible in the fenderwell (the fat look) but no rubbing. Or would you recommend a tire size. Thanks for any and all help you can give me. Tyler"Doc"Holiday.

Should fit fine with the 5" backspacing, and the 225 tire would be great up front, you could go to a 235 if you wanted. In the rear 225 might look a little small, I'd definately go with a 245 there.
