wheels , powercoat, paint

Hello, I can get a screeming deal on my rally wheels being sandblasted and then powered coated, they only do black/white/silver .
I want to match my truck, so whats needed to paint over the white and have it not fail..
the white will help make the yellow pop. and it'll be single stage to keep the mil's down.. and ease of touch up..

just scuff, grease remover, tack and spray .. or?

thanks..

How much are they charging you to PC in black, white, or silver? The equipment is relatively inexpensive, and you can use an old electric range. A wheel would fit in an oven.

Your choice of colors is almost limitless. It just seems if you are going to go to the expense of having them powder coated, then have to go back, prep them and paint them you might be better off just doing it right th efirst time in the color you want.

Then you might ask if you bought the powder would they spray it. Just seems like a lot of unnecessary work. The paint is going to end up chipping with the powder coat below showing through the chipping. Powder coat is by far the best finish.
