Wheels and sizes

I currently have 16" x 4" wheels on my 41 Tudor 600-16 tires, I am thinking about putting 15"x 5" front with 195/60r15, and 16"x 7" 235/70r16 on rear. Will I be all right doing so, safety, handling, stability.

Shouldn't be a problem if they fit in the wheelwell.
Front ones will be about 1.5 inches wider and rear will be 3 inches wider than stock. The back ones might be the problem. New ones will be about 1/2 inch taller but the width might not fit.

My Bud is running the same wheels and tires you want on the front on both the front and rear of his 41 Business coupe. I am almost positive you would not have a problem on the rear. The wheel well will accept the width of the tire and the diameter, but you need close to 5 inches back spacing to make sure the tire does not crowd the fender bead (scrub).

I went with 15x5 on front with 165r15 www tires, and 15x6 with P225/75r15 www on back so I should not have a clearance problem. Will post photos when I get them on.
